GoldenPeaks clinches Hungarian solar financing

Eastern European renewables investor GoldenPeaks Capital has completed financing of a 65MW solar project portfolio in Hungary. The portfolio includes two solar projects in north-east Hungary under construction with long-term PPAs. Erste Group, Erste Bank Hungary, and Schlecher Prince Gestion provided financing. Capcora advised GoldenPeaks on securing mezzanine financing. GoldenPeaks expanded into Hungary from Poland, securing financing through a unique transaction. Daniel Tain, President of GoldenPeaks, expressed delight in securing funding for Hungary projects. Marcus Hinrich Fischer from Erste Group highlighted the financial structure allowing flexibility in negotiating PPAs.
