Heliene to procure US-made solar wafers from NorSun

NorSun, a Norway-based solar wafer manufacturer, has signed a multi-year contract with Heliene, a solar module maker. Heliene will receive wafers from NorSun's planned wafer factory in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Heliene, in return, will build a cell factory in Greater Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota. The companies aim to bring US-made silicon ingots and wafers to the supply chain. Norsun specializes in monocrystalline ingots and wafers for ultra-high efficiency solar cells.
