Hungary’s largest solar power plant goes online

The Hungarian government announced the operation of a 233 MW solar power plant in Mezőcsát, Hungary. The project aims to reduce reliance on natural gas and increase the share of electricity from alternative sources. PolSolar, a Hungary-based company, developed the project with funding raised through a bond. The plant will sell power to the national grid under a special scheme.
