Hydro Rein plans 50-turbine wind farm in Sweden

Hydro Rein, a renewable energy business of Norsk Hydro ASA, plans to build a large-scale wind farm with up to 50 turbines in a forest area in northern Sweden. The company has signed a land lease agreement with Pajala Almanning for the development of the site called Karhuvaara in the southern part of the Pajala municipality. Hydro Rein is engaged in over 30 wind projects in Sweden with a total portfolio of 8.4 GW and long-term contracts for 5.3 TWh per year.
