Iberdrola inaugurates Saint-Brieuc

Iberdrola inaugurated the 496MW Saint-Brieuc offshore wind farm in France, with an investment of €2.4bn, consisting of 62 turbines with a capacity of 8MW each. The project started in 2012 and commenced full operation in 2024. Various companies such as Siemens-Gamesa, Navantia Windar, Haizea, Prysmian, and Van Oord were involved in the construction. Executive chairman Ignacio Galan emphasized the significance of the project for France's offshore wind sector and its contribution to energy security and climate objectives.
