Neoen has been awarded 170MW of solar capacity in Ireland’s Renewable Electricity Support Scheme (RESS) 4 auction. The capacity consists of two projects, Johnstown North Solar (29MW) in County Wicklow, and Garr Solar (141MW) in County Offaly. Neoen's Irish portfolio includes 53MW of wind farms and 58MW of solar plants in operation. Neoen plans to implement a Community Benefit Fund supporting local initiatives and host flocks of sheep on the solar farm sites. Cyril Perrin, Managing Director of Neoen Ireland, and Xavier Barbaro, Neoen’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, expressed their satisfaction and commitment to contributing to Ireland's energy transition targets.
