New PV system design strategy avoids oversizing, curtailment

Researchers from King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok in Thailand proposed a new methodology for conducting techno-economic assessments of distributed PV systems considering overvoltage-induced curtailment. The study focused on the impacts of overvoltage-induced curtailment on the performance of PV systems, sensitivity analysis based on electricity tariffs, and optimization approaches for PV system sizing.
