Nexans invests €90m in offshore wind cables

Nexans plans to invest €90m in support of offshore wind in Europe by constructing a new tower for cable insulation in Charleroi, Belgium. The investment will enable the production of 525kV HVDC onshore cables for TenneT's grid projects. Upgrades to the cable manufacturing process, including a new stranding line and degassing system, are part of the investment. Nexans is committed to the long-term strategy of electrification and renewable energy sources.
