‘NI needs policy change to catalyse offshore growth’

The Crown Estate has been urged to grant seabed rights for offshore wind projects off Northern Ireland. Niamh Kenny, director of SBM’s North Channel Wind project, emphasized the need for seabed rights auctions to catalyze the project’s development. She highlighted priorities for the NI Executive to resolve, including the creation of a ministerial task force and accelerating Contracts for Difference auction.
