North Macedonia's National Electricity Market Operator MEMO takes the first step towards full membership in the Association of Issuing Bodies (AIB), aiming to introduce guarantees of origin (GOs) recognized and traded in the EU and Energy Community. The goal is to promote electricity production from renewable sources in the region. Notably, efforts are made to allow recognition of GOs from Energy Community countries in the EU through a finalized roadmap.
