Northvolt ditches plan for CAM giga-factory in Sweden, sells land

Northvolt AB agrees to sell its industrial site in Borlange, Sweden to the municipality. The site will be repurposed into a cathode active materials factory. The municipality also sells part of the land to EcoDataCenter for a data center facility. Northvolt had bought the site from Stora Enso Oyj with plans to establish CAM production. Plans for the gig-factory at the Kvarnsveden site are being reviewed.
