Ocean Winds installs Noirmoutier substation

Ocean Winds has completed installation of the offshore substation at the 496MW Noirmoutier wind farm off France. Allseas heavy-lift vessel Pioneering Spirit put in place the topside. Other construction work is underway at the wind farm, including installation of the project’s 61 turbine foundations. Noirmoutier is being developed by the EMYN consortium, which includes Sumitomo Corporate and Caisse des Depots.
