Portugal, Spain set records for daily solar energy production

Electricity prices increased in all major European markets in the second week of July. The Italian market had the smallest increase while the French market had the largest. AleaSoft Energy Forecasting attributed the higher prices to a fall in wind energy production and an increase in electricity demand. Solar energy production also saw significant growth in various countries breaking historical records. Spain and Portugal reached new milestones in photovoltaic production. Prices are expected to slightly fall in most markets during the third week of July.
