Q Energy eyes 2025 commissioning of 74-MW French floating PV park

European renewables developer Q Energy has completed 30% of the construction of its 74.3-MW floating solar farm located on a former quarry in northeastern France. The project, known as Les Ilots Blandin, is expected to be the biggest floating photovoltaic project in Europe. It is scheduled for provisional commissioning in the first quarter of 2025 and is designed to generate electricity to meet the demand of 37,000 people annually.
