RES secures consent for 49.9-MW battery project in Scotland

UK-based renewables developer RES has been granted permission for the construction of a 49.9-MW battery energy storage system (BESS) in Scotland. The Dunmill BESS will improve grid flexibility by balancing supply and demand. RES currently manages over 600 MW of battery storage systems from its control center in Glasgow.
