rPlus turns sod on 400-MW solar-plus-storage project in Utah

rPlus Energies has started the construction of the Green River Energy Center, a 400-MW solar photovoltaic plant with battery energy storage in Utah. The project received over USD 1 billion in construction debt financing. Construction will be done by Sundt Construction, and EliTe Solar will supply the solar modules while Tesla Inc will provide the battery energy storage system. PacifiCorp will off-take the electricity under a power purchase agreement.
