RTE awards EUR-4.5bn contract for French offshore wind infrastructure

A collaboration between Hitachi Energy and Chantiers de l'Atlantique has secured a EUR 4.5 billion contract to develop offshore and onshore infrastructure for three French offshore wind farms. The projects, which include Centre Manche 1 and 2 and Oleron Island, aim to enhance France's renewable energy capacity. Significant investments are being made by Chantiers de l'Atlantique in expanding their Saint-Nazaire shipyard and enhancing their construction facilities.
