RWE begins site surveys for California floater

RWE has initiated site investigation for the Canopy offshore wind project off the coast of northern California, involving Argeo for survey work with an AUV. The project aims to assess locations for wind turbines, cables, and understand biodiversity. Canopy plans to start surveys in 2024-2025 with operations expected by mid-2030s. Various organizations like Argeo, Geo SubSea, and Coastal 35 Consulting are involved in survey activities to ensure environmental compliance and minimal disturbance to the marine ecosystem.
