RWE breaks ground on 8.3-MW solar project in Sicily

German energy group RWE is starting construction of an 8.3 MWac solar photovoltaic farm named Bosco in Partinico, Sicily, utilizing about 15,000 bifacial solar panels. The project, which benefits from Italy's new expedited permitting process, marks RWE's first solar initiative in Italy. Additionally, RWE is reinforcing its existing Italian portfolio with new wind projects in the Apulia region.
