Scatec’s Release to expand Cameroon solar-plus-storage projects

Release, the distributed power arm of Norwegian renewable energy company Scatec, is expanding its solar projects in Cameroon by adding 28.6MW of solar capacity and 19.2MWh battery energy storage systems. They have signed lease agreements with ENEO, a state-owned electricity company in Cameroon, to increase their Cameroonian portfolio. The expansion is funded by Climate Fund Managers and aims to provide flexible leasing for solar modules and battery storage facilities.
