Serbia wants to cooperate with French EDF in nuclear energy

Serbia and France are cooperating in the energy sector with a focus on peaceful uses of nuclear energy. Minister Dubravka Đedović Handanović discussed collaboration with a delegation from EDF, aiming to deepen cooperation in the energy transition. EDF sees Serbia as part of the nuclear energy value chain and expressed interest in assisting with a technical study. The Ministry of Mining and Energy in Serbia plans to hold a public debate on potential changes to the Law on Energy, including the introduction of nuclear energy as a baseload source.
