Shoals, Recom plan 5 GW solar module factory in U.S.

Dean Solon and Hamlet Tunyan announced the launch of ReCreate, a venture to establish a manufacturing facility in Tennessee producing up to 5 GW of modules and cells for North America and Europe. The Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 has boosted solar manufacturing in the U.S. ReCreate aims to significantly increase supply in the solar market. The facility is set up at Create Energy's manufacturing facility in Portland, Tennessee. Create Energy is a U.S.-based renewable energy company known for its wide range of products and services. Solon brings over 30 years of experience in renewable energy industry. Tunyan, CEO of Recom Technologies, is experienced in clean-tech manufacturing and project investments. Recom Technologies is a manufacturer of modules, cells, and other renewable energy products with an annual production capacity exceeding 3.2 GW.
