Simply Blue bags land for Irish energy park

Simply Blue Group has acquired land in Whitegate adjacent to Ireland's only oil refinery to develop a renewable energy park for sustainable fuel production. The company aims to expand into clean energy projects in Ireland, Canada, and Australia. The Irish government targets 2GW of offshore wind power by 2030 and plans to build 20GW and 37GW of offshore wind capacity by 2040 and 2050 respectively. The acquired land is strategically located near key infrastructure for energy transmission, making it ideal for renewable power generation.
