Simply Blue bags land for Irish energy park

Simply Blue Group has acquired land in Whitegate, adjacent to Ireland’s only oil refinery, to develop a renewable energy park for producing sustainable fuels. The Irish government aims to develop 2GW of offshore wind power by 2030, with plans to build 20GW and 37GW by 2040 and 2050 respectively. The acquired land offers a strategic location near transmission networks and shoreline access for renewable power production.
