South Africa’s largest wheeling project involves SOLA Group supplying over 200 MW of renewable energy to Tronox Mineral Sands via the Eskom transmission network from two solar plants near Lichtenburg. The plants generate 593,721 MWh of energy annually. These solar projects are among the first outside Northern Cape Province. The project has positively impacted the local community by employing over 700 members during construction.
