Tender opens for PV-driven pump irrigation projects in the Philippines

The National Irrigation Administration of the Philippines has opened a tender for the development of solar power-driven pump irrigation projects along the Loboc River. The projects will be located in the barangays of Villarcayo and Lico Lico in Bohol, central Visayas region. The maximum budget for the project is approximately PHP 97 million ($1.66 million). Interested applicants need to have prior experience in similar projects. The Philippines Government Electronic Procurement System is providing the bidding documents. The largest solar-powered irrigation system was inaugurated in the Philippines in June.
