US power grid adds 4.2 GW of battery storage in H1

Battery storage was the second-largest contributor of utility-scale electric generating capacity in the United States during the first half of 2024. Solar was the largest addition to the grid followed by battery storage. California, Texas, Arizona, and Nevada were the states with the highest battery storage additions. Innoventum launched a solar carport line with bifacial modules in a larch wood structure.
