X1 Wind 6MW floater demo wins funding

A floating wind platform demonstration project called NextFloat+ has secured €13m in funding from the Innovation Fund to accelerate the deployment of X1 Wind’s 6MW pre-commercial platform. The project will involve the deployment of the platform at a test site in the Mediterranean Sea, aiming to reduce seabed footprint impact. The project aims to drive improvements in floating wind competitiveness for mass deployment worldwide.
