Ørsted wins contract for 55-MW solar project in Irish auction

Danish clean energy group Ørsted A/S secured a contract for a 55-MW solar farm in Ballinrea, Ireland, through the RESS 4 auction. The company aims to bring the project online by 2026 and expand its solar presence in Ireland. TJ Hunter, director Ireland & UK at Ørsted, emphasized the importance of stable auctions for energy markets and mentioned plans for further expansion in Ireland.
