Atlas hires CJR to build 200-MW battery in Chile

Portugal-based CJR Renewables will install a 200-MW/800-MWh battery energy storage system in Chile's Antofagasta region for Atlas Renewable Energy. The system will be adjacent to the Sol del Desierto solar farm. The BESS, with a 15-year PPA, will re-inject 280 GWh per year to the grid.
