Synergrid in Belgium is allowing plug-and-play solar panels and household batteries on the electricity distribution grids by amending the rule C10/11. This change will be effective in May 2025 after approval from regional energy regulators. Manufacturers can certify their devices to meet regulations. The aim is to enhance security and inform customers about risks related to plug-in devices. Belgium has over 10 GW of installed solar capacity.
