Elia toasts five years of MOG operation

Elia Transmission Belgium’s Modular Offshore Grid (MOG) in the North Sea has transported more than 14.75TWh of carbon-free electricity to Belgium in 5 years. The platform connects electricity from 4 offshore wind farms (Rentel, Seastar, Mermaid, Northwester 2) to the mainland more efficiently and securely through a pooled system. MOG significantly enhances security of energy supply and has an impressive availability rate. Princess Elisabeth offshore generation zone will add further offshore electricity capacity.
