Iberdrola commissions 37-MW solar duo in Portugal

Spanish utility Iberdrola SA announced the start of operations for its Montechoro I and Montechoro II photovoltaic plants in southern Portugal. The plants required an investment of EUR 30 million and consist of over 64,554 bifacial panels generating 56.84 GWh annually. CEO Alejandra Reyna highlighted the importance of these plants towards the decarbonisation of the economy and reinforcing renewable energy production capacity in Portugal.
