Norway: Incentives for grid-friendly charging

Solar charging of electric cars is popular in Norway and other European countries. Norgesnett and Volue introduced a scheme for lower grid tariffs to customers charging their electric cars with 'short-distance' solar energy in Norway. The new service 'eNabo' rewards Norwegian electricity customers for using electricity, particularly for electric car charging at favorable grid times, aiming to facilitate more solar energy feeding in from roofs and increased electric car use without raising grid rent.
