An international group of researchers designed a perovskite solar cell with an indium sulfide electron transport layer to reduce defect density. They used SCAPS-1D software to simulate a solar cell with a lead-halide perovskite absorber. The cell achieved a 20.15% efficiency with key characteristics. The study paves the way for indium sulfide as a potential ETL for perovskite solar cells.
