Vard to build offshore wind construction vessel

Vard has signed a contract with Wind Energy Construction for the design and construction of an energy construction vessel (ECV), specifically tailored for offshore wind and subsea operations. This ECV, named VARD 3 11, will feature advanced capabilities such as inspection, maintenance, repair of pipes, and infrastructure construction above and below sea level. The vessel will include a motion-compensated gangway and a 150-tonne movement-compensated offshore crane, enhancing its versatility for various operations in the renewables market.
